Created by Jacques Guerlain in 1925, Shalimar was inspired by the gardens built by an emperor for the woman he loved. Fresh bergamot opens on iris and jasmine, before the famous base of vanilla, tonka bean and opoponax that made it the archetype of oriental perfumes. Shalimar exists in both Eau de Toilette and Eau de Parfum: this Eau de Parfum is the deeper, more enveloping version.
